INGLEWOOD PARK

Public BBQ

Inglewood Park reveals itself as modest neighbourhood gems somehow managing both endearing and slightly exasperating in equal measure. Sheltered BBQ areas and ample parking suggest someone once had grand plans though sparse play equipment, few stepping moulds and solitary swing station, hints either budget constraints or wildly optimistic children entertainment needs expectations. Centrepiece: peculiar little maze featuring what can only be described "quirky sculpture" of mysterious purpose, sort public art leaving visitors pondering whether missing something profound or if artist simply had materials to spare. Park wears family-friendly credentials well enough welcoming both children and dogs with equal enthusiasm though persistent broken glass and weedy lawn suggest maintenance standards making groundskeeper weep.
